You don’t receive money with this plan. Instead, it covers the actual funeral arrangements directly. That means ICEA LION covers the cost and coordinates the funeral through a professional partner, called A-Plus Funeral Management.
Here’s how the cover works:
- You pay once a year. The plan is renewable annually.
- When a covered family member passes away, A-Plus steps in immediately to take care of everything as per your chosen funeral package.
- You don’t get money in hand, instead, the funeral services are fully handled for you.
Who provides the service?
ICEA LION is the company that gives you the cover, and, when the time comes, our trusted partner, A-Plus Funeral Management, steps in to provide the funeral service and take care of all the burial arrangements for your loved one.
Who is covered?
This plan covers your whole family — not just your spouse and children, but extended family too.
You can include:
- Children from 6 months old
- Adults up to 75 years
- A minimum of 3 people must be covered. There’s no maximum
What does it cover?
This cover includes:
- Full funeral services in the event of death from both natural and accidental causes
- The burial process handled entirely by A-Plus, based on the service package you choose at the start
What is the waiting period?
There’s a short wait before your cover becomes active for natural causes:
- Ages 6 months to 50 years: Wait period is 2 months
- Ages 51 to 75 years: Wait period is 4 months
Please note: This only applies to natural causes. Accidental deaths are covered immediately.
The following are not included under this plan:
- Death caused by war or military conflict
- Accidents from flying (except as a paying airline passenger)
- Nuclear-related incident
- Illegal drug use
- Death under the influence of alcohol
- Suicide or self-harm within the first year
- Criminal activity
- Natural death before the waiting period ends
